Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Scorify collects about you, what it is used for, and who can see it. It sits alongside the Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
When you sign up: your name, username, email address and password. The password is held by our identity system and we never see it in readable form.
From your profile, if you fill it in: photo, cover image, headline, pronouns, bio, location, school, employer, birthday, timezone, links and contact details. All of it is optional.
From using the service: posts, comments, reactions, saved items, messages and their attachments, who you follow, evaluation submissions and results, your organization membership, and any member details your administrators record.
Automatically: your IP address, browser and device information, and the cookies that keep you signed in.
From Google, if you choose Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture.
2. Why we use it
To run your account and show you the right things — signing you in, building your feed, delivering messages and notifications, and applying the audience rules you chose.
To send service email: a verification code when you sign up, a link when you reset your password, and a welcome message.
To keep the platform safe: looking into reports, enforcing these terms, and preventing abuse.
3. Who can see your information
Other people see what your audience settings allow, field by field.
Administrators of an organization you belong to can see your membership, your assignments, the member details they maintain, and the evaluations you take part in.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Service providers
We rely on other companies to run Scorify: hosting and storage for the application and your files, an email provider to deliver service messages, and Google if you use Google sign-in. They act on our instructions and only for these purposes.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as theme and language. We do not use advertising cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as the account exists. When you delete it your profile is withdrawn immediately and removed after a retention period; signing in again with the same Google account during that window restores it.
Records that belong to an organization, such as evaluation results, are kept by that organization under its own rules. Backups are held for a limited time and then overwritten.
7. Your choices and rights
In Settings you can see and change most of your information, set the audience of each field, remove content you posted, and delete your account.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to object to a particular use, or to complain to a data-protection authority. Write to us and we will help.
8. Security
Access is authenticated and sessions expire. Files you upload to private areas are served through short-lived links rather than public addresses. No service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password you do not reuse elsewhere.
9. Children
Scorify is not intended for children under 13, and where local law sets a higher age for consent, that age applies instead.
10. Where your data is held
Scorify may be operated from, and your information stored in, a country other than your own. Where we move personal information across borders we do it on terms that keep it protected.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the service changes, and will tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
